Police: Impaired driving, mischief, B&E, drunk in public

Man charged with mischief and impaired driving in Dresden

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 3 a.m. on April 16, police were called to an apartment building in Dresden after a 36-year-old male kicked in a lobby door.

The man fled the scene prior to police arrival but was soon located driving in the area.

The man was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for mischief and impaired driving.

He was further charged with over 80 once breath tests were completed and was released from custody with a future court date.

Break and enter in Shrewsbury

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime overnight on April 14 and 15, unknown suspects forced entry to a residence through a front door.

Several items were stolen, valued at $7,500 total.

The incident remains under investigation.

Man arrested for being intoxicated in a public place in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 38-year-old man was arrested in the Edgar St. area yesterday around 2 p.m. for being intoxicated in public.

He was later released when sober.
