Festival of Giving raises $232,000

More than 1,000 guests and volunteers were at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre on April 13th for the 18th Annual Festival of Giving, held by the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation which raised $232,000 to benefit the Centre. Several other charities throughout the community also benefited from the proceeds of the event.

This year’s Festival of Giving was very sports-man-like, with a “Wide-World-of-Sports” theme, featuring a Derby Room, Half-Time Show themed entertainment, Sons of Kent Brewing Co., Bayside Brewing, hundreds of live and silent auction items, and capped off by a performance by Face4Radio.

“The community support for this event is outstanding. From the volunteers, FoG committee, guests to sponsors – simply the best” Chris McLeod co-chair. “The yearly goal of the committee is to blow event goers minds with over the top performances, prizes and fun, and I think we
delivered.” Tim Regan co-chair.

The Foundation would like to thank the Festival of Giving committee and volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication.
