Downtown Wallaceburg clean-up held

In partnership with Pitch-In Canada and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA celebrated Earth Week with a Downtown Community Clean-Up on Saturday April 27.

Bags and gloves were provided to approximately 30 volunteers who came out to help.

“It was great to see local residents, including some of our Wallaceburg youth, coming to help do a spring clean up of our beautiful downtown core,” said Wallaceburg Coun. Aaron Hall.

“Thank-you to everyone for taking the time out of your day.”

The BIA also launched their new Downtown Wallaceburg BIA Garden Club at this event.

Garden Club Membership were available for purchase at the event and are still available for $5.

“We are planting the seed to grow our very own Horticultural Society,” organizers said.
