This summer, Eternity’s Touch and mPower Electric presents the second 3Rivers Roll community bike party! Community Living Wallaceburg will be hosting the second ride on July 17th at the Oaks Retirement Village. The event brings together people of all ages, abilities and bikes to have fun and discover more about the agency and our town, going to areas that they otherwise may not have visited before. This month’s event is Wednesday July 17th with a donation BBQ at 5:30pm and the ride leaving for 7pm.
“We are so thankful for the support of our community. The first event this summer brought over 200 bikers out to join the roll. This month’s Wednesday event will be Carnival themed with a clown, cotton
candy, Kona Ice and tons of fun games for the kids. Post ride, the Oaks Retirement will open their court yard for cold beverages and socializing,” says Alisha Allaer, Communications and Fund Development Associate at Community Living Wallaceburg.
The most unique part of this event is that it’s not a race, but a slow roll promoting inclusion, socializing and community comradery. And the best part is that, thanks to the generous sponsors of this event, it’s FREE for people to take part!
“We’re so pleased that the community embraced the idea of this event the past 2 summers. Everyone had a great time and really got into it by bringing their own music,” says Allaer. “This event is all about
inclusion and welcoming everyone.”
While there is no fee to attend, donations are being accepted to help continue to raise vital funds to find ways to overcome barriers for people with developmental disabilities. With your support, we can continue to invest in creating opportunities for people to participate in recreational and social activities.
Community Living Wallaceburg has plans under way to host two more 3Rivers Roll bike parties one on July 17th at The Oak Retirement Village and one August 15th at Eternities Touch. Further information can be found on their website at www.3RiversRoll.com.
