Man arrested on a warrant

Chatham-Lent Police Service officials allege: In May 2019, a man was released from police custody.

He was required to attend court in June 2019, but failed to do so.

Therefore, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday afternoon the 49-year-old man was located in Windsor and arrested by Windsor PS.

He was then transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was given a future court date.

It was learned through further investigation that the man also had a warrant for his arrest in London.

Therefore, arrangements were made for his release to the London PS.

Woman arrested for being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Lent Police Service officials allege: Last night around 11:30 p.m. a 57-year-old Woodslee, Ontario woman was located in front of a business in Thamesville.

She appeared intoxicated and unable to care for herself.

She was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and transported to CKPS Headquarters until sober.
