Crime Stoppers seeking tips after suspicious vehicle fire

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is seeking tips from the public after a suspicious vehicle fire in Chatham.

“Early in the morning on Friday November 15, police discovered a vehicle on fire along the railway tracks between Sass Road and Park Avenue in Chatham,” Crime Stoppers officials allege.

“The unknown four-door vehicle entered the area by accessing a property at the end of Wellington Street East. The vehicle had stolen license plates and the VIN plate had been removed.”

Crime Stoppers officials added: “Police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the persons responsible for this arson. If you saw a vehicle entering the area or saw walking away from the area call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 with your anonymous information. You could earn a cash reward.”
