Traffic stop leads to criminal charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on patrol an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Lacroix street Chatham.

The driver did not stop for the officer initially and attempted to pull into a driveway.

The driver was identified and found to be prohibited from driving.

The driver was charged with two counts of prohibited driving, flight from police and failing to stop for police. 

He was released with a future court date.

Detached garage entered in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime overnight, a detached garage on Kensington Street in Wallaceburg was entered.

There was damage done to the garage while gaining access but appears nothing was taken.

Attempt entry in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A suspect attempted to enter a garage on Heather Drive in Chatham.

The suspect made several attempts to enter the garage but was not able to open the window and eventually left.
