Ronald Lumley

Mr. Ronald Lumley, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Riverview Gardens Long Term Care, in Chatham, at the age of 94.

Ron was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a son of the late Frank and Florence Lumley.

Beloved husband of the late Betty (Declerk) Lumley (2011).

Loving father and father-in-law of Rick (Sandy), Bonnie (Bob) Decan, Vickie Brown and Linda Lumley. Predeceased by his son Craig.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Greg (Amanda), Lisa, Chris (Lisa), Kevin (Angela), Shawn (Chantelle), Susan (Dwayne), Stephanie (Dan), Jen (Shane), Matt (Nathalie), Mike (Mya) and Liz, his great grandchildren Jessie, Brett, Blake, Abby, Charlie, Brynn, Alyssa, Gavin, Jace, Cecelia, Ben, Avery, Emma, Charlotte, Brady, Alice, Clara, Colin, Courtney, Evan, Brennan, Kristian, Hannah, Maddison and his great great grandchildren Dominic, Daniel, Delilah and Willow.

Kind brother of Larry (Jean) Lumley. Predeceased by his sister Nancy (the late Allen) Chapman and his good friend Betty Emans.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ron grew up in the Sombra township area and moved to Chatham with his wife Betty of 63 years. They eventually settled in Wallaceburg. After 30 years of working at International Harvester, he returned to farming. As many winters as possible, he spent in Texas. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and the horse races.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 4-7 p.m.

Cremation will follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
