Election race quiet in North Kent

election-voteNo one has blazed the campaign trail quite yet in North Kent (Ward 4.)

Incumbents Leon Leclair and Joe Faas have stated in public that they have not made up their minds whether they are going run.

Leclair led the charge with 2,103 votes back in the 2010 election, his first crack at municipal politics.

Faas, a veteran politician, was second in voting with 1,850.

Mary Ann Udvari was third with 1,294, with Robert Kominek with 1,215, Aaron Neaves at 1,139 and Keith Pretty at 150 votes.

The Sydenham Current has not received any indication on who is going to put their name in the mix for this election.

Neaves, the former president of CAW 127, is ineligible to run in this years election after failing to file proper financial records from the 2010 election.

Election day is Oct. 27.
