More winter weather is on its way.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent.
Officials are calling for snow and blowing snow on Wednesday, March 12.
An area of low pressure from Kansas is forecast to track south of the Lower Great Lakes on Wednesday.
“This system is expected to generate snow and local blowing snow for Wednesday for regions just north of Lake Erie and across the Niagara region,” Environment Canada officials stated. “Although snowfall accumulations will depend on the exact track of this system current information suggests total snowfall amounts near 10 cm are possible.”
Officials are cautioning motorists to exercise caution when travelling or commuting due to poor visibility in snow and blowing snow.
“The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended,” Environment Canada officials said.
