Derek Whitson is bringing back a bronze medal to Chatham-Kent.
Whitson and his Team Canada teammates topped Norway this morning 3-0, in the bronze medal match of Sledge Hockey at the 2014 Sochi Paralympic Games.
“Bringing home the Bronze Canada!” Whitson posted on Facebook.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, where Whitson received therapy services as a youngster, was thrilled with the bronze medal victory.
“We are so proud of Derek and Team Canada who played a hard game throughout the entire series.”
