The possibility of the Ontario Hockey League coming to Chatham is coming back to the forefront.
In a closed session report it states that council directed administration on a “potential property acquisition by the municipality in the community of Chatham in regard to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) sized arena.”
No more details are known at the moment.
The possibility of an OHL franchise coming to C-K has come up many times in the past.
Most recently in May last year, it was rumoured that the Erie Otters were eyeing Chatham-Kent as a new destination.
That deal never transpired.

i think an OHL franchise would be great for C-K, one thing this area supports is our sport teams!! Now that Chatham has just about devoured Wallaceburg’s Hospital, maybe an arena on the site could take it’s place?
