Whether you need to grab a quick salad or sandwich for lunch, or provide a full spread for a Sunday function, Your Hometown Deli in Wallaceburg has got you covered.

“We have a grab-and-go refrigerator where you can grab prepared salads like potato salad, macaroni salad, greek and pasta salad, quinoa salad, which is gluten-free,” said Kevin Blake, co-owner of Your Hometown Deli in Wallaceburg.

Blake added they make sandwiches everyday, with fresh bread.

“We make beef and cheddar on bread and beef and cheddar on a hungarian bun, we do the ham and havarti, ham and swiss on both bread and bun,” he said. “The egg salad is fresh and people pick those up every day.”

Blake said they also offer fresh leafy salads and an assortment of different desserts each day.

“Melissa makes homemade rice pudding twice a week,” he said. “Sometimes we’ll have apple crumble, peach cake. We also do our own baking, so we’ve got banana loaf, date loaf, pineapple loaf, cherry loaf and we’ve got these to-die-for brownies.”

Blake said they keep busy with their catering services.

“We do catering and we’ll get special requests for a gluten-free plate or a vegan soup or a vegan salad,” he said. “We can do that up for people just based on orders. So as long as we know that’s what they want, we can make it.”

Blake said the specialty trays are a big part of their business.

“We’ll do a meat assortment tray, a cheese assortment tray, sandwich tray, we also do veggie trays and fruit trays, dessert trays,” he said. “People use them for a lot of different functions like baby showers, big birthdays, funerals… that sort of thing and it goes over really well and we’re competitively priced.”

Blake said depending on the size of the event, they ask for at least one day notice in case they have to order anything extra.
