Parade of Chefs featuring celebrity chef Bob Blumer

Wallaceburg and Dresden are represented this year at an annual event for the Foundation of the CKHA.

On Thursday, April 3, 2014, the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) will host its 12th Annual Parade of Chefs, featuring special guest and celebrity emcee Chef Bob Blumer from Food Network’s Surreal Gourmet, Glutton for Punishment and World’s Weirdest Restaurants, at Club Lentinas in Chatham. Proceeds from the event will support CKHA’s most urgent capital equipment needs.

12th Annual Parade of Chefs

An evening of fine dining, this year’s sold-out event will feature a seven-course meal prepared by local Chefs from the Chatham Breakfast House & Grille, Gatsby’s Grill House from Wallaceburg, Harvest Moon Catering out of Dresden, Mamma Maria’s Ristorante, Rossini’s Restaurant, T-Bones Grill House and The Chilled Cork Restaurant & Lounge. Each course will be accompanied by wines from Aleksander Estate Winery, Early Acres Estate Winery, Munro’s Meadery, Pelee Island Winery & Vineyards Inc., Smith & Wilson Estate Wines and Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery and beer from Bayside Brewing Co. and Railway City Brewing Company.

Introducing Chef Bob Blumer

Culinary adventurer, chef, artist and seven time Guinness World Record holder Bob Blumer is the creator and host of the television series Surreal Gourmet, and Glutton for Punishment, and co-executive producer and host of World’s Weirdest Restaurants. His shows air in over twenty countries worldwide.

As a chef, Blumer transforms ordinary ingredients into wow-inspiring dishes through simple cooking methods and whimsical presentations that have become his culinary trademark. He is the author of six acclaimed cookbooks. Publishers Weekly summed up his most recent book Glutton for Pleasure as: “equal parts memoir, lavish art book, multi-genre soundtrack and culinary tour de force”.
