Burns Restaurant and Catering in Dresden doesn’t just serve food at their 296 St. George Street West location in Dresden – they take their food all across Chatham-Kent and Southwestern Ontario.
Rob Burnett, owner of Burns, said they will bring their catering service anywhere.
“We’ve been up to Leamington, Tilbury, Sarnia and everywhere in between,” he said. “We’re catering out of the Blenheim Golf Course this year, they asked us to cater down there. We’re doing a bunch of functions out of the hall… we go to St. Mary’s Hall quite a bit in Blenheim. Just all over the place.”
Burnett said they cater to a wide range of functions including: school boards, weddings, funerals, family functions, meetings, offices, factories and house parties.
“A lot of outdoor stuff, like weddings that are outdoors in tents, we do a lot of that throughout the summer,” he said. “We’ll haul the trailer right to the site.”
Their banquet package for catering includes a range of options with all the fixings: beef, scallopini, turkey in the fall.
“People can just call up and ask if the date is available,” he said. “We’re usually not afraid to do a couple bookings on the same day. It will depend on the situation and the day. We did the Wallaceburg hockey banquet last weekend, then came back to Dresden and did a banquet at night. Just call or e-mail us.”
Burnett said the Burns staff will bring you food for drop-off as well.
“That is what a lot of house parties do, they want the food they don’t want to have to cook or clean,” he said. “We’ll drop it off, it’s all disposable. They just have to pay a delivery charge, and they’re off to the races.”
