Are you committed?

Are you committed?

What I mean is, do you work hard and stay at something until the job is finished?

Football legend and Green Bay Packers’ coach Vince Lombardi once said, “The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Take anyone who is trying out for a sports team or someone who has applied for a job.

Clearly, if you have invested time and energy into something that you want, it will be hard to just throw in the towel and give up if you don’t get it right away.

Being committed to something may require taking some risks.

You may fail and let your teammates down but does that mean the effort wasn’t worth it?

George Halas, a former owner of the NFL’s Chicago Bears, said, “Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.”

Does that describe you?

If not, what are you going to do about it?

Commitment starts with the person you’re staring at in the mirror.
