A 10-year-old Wallaceburg boy is not seriously injured after getting hit by a car this morning (May 16) in Wallaceburg.

Ethan Carron was riding his scooter along McNaughton Avenue around 8:30 a.m., heading towards his bus stop at the corner of James Street and Johnson Street.

Ethan attempted to cross the street at the Lord Selkirk bridge, before the cross walk, when he was struck by a vehicle.

Ethan’s mom Tonya said her son is a little banged up.

“He has a cut on his nose (and) a bump on his head,” she said.

It does not appear that any charges are going to be laid, but we are awaiting confirmation from the Chatham-Kent Police Service.
