Local fundraising group, Pretty in Pink, has once again made a significant donation to the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) in support of CKHA’s Oncology Department.

This past weekend, representatives from Pretty in Pink presented the Foundation of CKHA with a cheque for $20,000 to support the purchase of parking tokens for patients receiving treatment at CKHA.

This generous donation represents a portion of the proceeds from various fundraising events held by Pretty in Pink throughout the year, including raffles, trivia nights and dinners, among others.

“We are so fortunate to have this dedicated group of volunteers in our community,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Foundation of CKHA. “Pretty in Pink continues to make a significant impact on local healthcare. Since 2008, their fundraising efforts have helped to purchase essential supplies, equipment and furnishings for CKHA’s Oncology Department and this most recent donation will help relieve some of the financial impact our local Oncology patients experience while undergoing treatments at CKHA.”

Through this generous donation, patients receiving cancer care at CKHA can access tokens through the Oncology Department and can park in Oncology-designated parking spots at CKHA’s Chatham Campus, next to Ambulatory Care.

If you would like to make a donation to support the purchase of parking lot tokens for CKHA’s Oncology patients, please call the Foundation of CKHA at 519.436.2538.
