Play an important role – Foster a dog with CK Animal Rescue!

When dogs who have no time left in high kill shelters, they must have a safe place for the dog before committing to saving the dogs.  Foster care is the backbone of any rescue. Without foster homes, CK Animal Rescue is unable to rescue dogs. This often means death for the shelter dogs unless other rescues come forward to help.

Foster families provide the love, food, care and shelter for rescues by opening their hearts and homes to care for the dogs until approved permanent homes are be found. CK Animal Rescue is limited to how many dogs they can rescue without available foster homes.

Being a foster family for Chatham Kent Animal Rescue is a commitment. It’s not for everyone but it is important to consider all the facts if this is something you truly want to do.  Being a foster may not always be easy, but it is a very rewarding experience that can be life changing!

As a foster family, you play an important role in saving one dog –  you are the one who will give a rescued dog a second chance. This should give you a great sense of pride knowing how much you can contribute to saving a life. Without foster families, these dogs have little to no chance.
