A beautiful illustration of trust

I had the enjoyment of spending a few days up in Tobermory at some friends’ cottage for a bit of a retreat.

There is quite a bit of wildlife around their cottage, including a couple of chipmunks.

I had been informed of a bucket of peanuts that were on hand for feeding the little critters.

What really amazed me was how readily they came up to take the peanut right from my hand.

There was no hesitation whatsoever.

These little chipmunks think nothing of the potential for harm that could come from the human hands that feed them.

What a beautiful illustration of trust!

God would like us to get to that point in our relationship with Him.

Isaiah 26:3 says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

When we get to that place of absolute trust in the promises of God, a wonderful sense of His peace flows right into our busy and often troubled lives.

Adverse circumstances cannot steal that peace if the bedrock of trust has already been laid.

Does that describe where you are in your relationship with God?

If not, why not?

Perhaps today would be a good day to simply pray and ask Him to help you trust Him more.

Your breakthrough is only a prayer away!
