The inaugural Dresden Kinsmen Classic Rock Fest “Kinstock” is coming to Dresden on July 12.

Christal Wills, a spokesperson for the event, said it is going to be a classic rock festival, featuring all the bands that were at Woodstock and some of the bands that couldn’t make it to Woodstock.

“They do a tribute to those artists,” she said. “It’s going to be a great classic rock festival, good food, entertainment, beer tent. The Dresden Kinsmen are hosting this year and we’re hoping to make this an annual event.”

Wills added: “There is lots of parking. We’re hoping people will come, enjoy the festivities with us.”

Wills said the show includes a house band, who will have different people joining them as the night goes on.

“They’re going to pay tribute to The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, The Band, Joe Cocker, Grateful Dead, Blood Sweat and Tears, Chicago Bob Dylan and Lighthouse,” she said. “It’s going to be a nice mix and it will be something to enjoy because there will be a lot of different people singing all night.”

The doors open at 4 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m. and running until 11 p.m.

Once 6 p.m. hits it is a 19 plus event.

Tickets are now available and only cost $10 in advance, or $15 at the door.

Tickets are available at McKellar’s Flowers, Hughson Automotive, Ellis Motors, Dresden Meat Packers and at the radio station in Wallaceburg.

The event will be held on the baseball diamond at Kinsmen Park.
