Just before 6:00 p.m. yesterday, a man entered the LCBO on McNaughton Avenue.
The man was refused service as he was intoxicated.
The man left the store with a 750ml bottle of Bacardi white rum and six pack of Busch beer without paying.
Officers attended the area and following a short foot pursuit, the man was arrested.
The 35-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
