The nature trail in Mitchell’s Bay is getting extended, after a unanimous approval from council.
A multi-use trail is set to be developed running north of Mitchell’s Bay Marine Park on the ARTA Dyke and along the shoreline of Lake St. Clair to Bass Haven.
The trail will include wetland trails and bridges.
Ontario NativeScape will be developing the new extension for a total of $171,64 and will be funded by the Trails Lifecycle budget. The total cost of the project is $261,640.
This will be the third trail development project in the community, and will lengthen the trail to 4.3 km when the project is complete.
