“We’re not salesmen,” Moore said. “We’re here to help you find what you want. If somebody is coming in here, they’re already looking for something. They’ve got a few ideas in their head, and we can tell them whether or not we can get those ideas into reality or we can steer them closer to something that they want.”
Moore added: “We don’t sales trick them, we have no agendas here, period. I want to sell to somebody that is going to be happy and I want them to tell other people they are happy. That is the goal. We want to make life easy, we want to make their shopping experience painless.”
Moore said this approach has been working at the Wallaceburg store since 1968, when they opened.
“Two staff have been here since 1968 when we opened, both Brian Shaw and my father, Jack Moore,” he said. “Andy Fields has been here 15 years, myself I’ve been here off and on my whole life. Our two delivery guys have been here about three years.”
Moore added: “The four of us here, we all went to high school together, grew up together, so we’ve really got a family feeling here. I’ve grown up knowing Brian, Andy is Brian’s son-in-law, Andy’s son just started working for us part-time. We’ve got a good tight group here, we’re family in some spots and great friends in the other. All the way around, we’re just good with people.”
