The Wallaceburg Lakers Junior ‘C’ Hockey Club will be looking for a new trainer for the 2014/2015 season.

Head trainer Eric Harvey will be leaving the Wallaceburg club to join the Chatham Maroons of the Greater Ontario Junior ‘B’ Hockey League.

“This is a move that was difficult to make but in making it I am moving up to a higher level and hopefully it will open more doors for me in hockey,” Harvey said.

The Wallaceburg resident spent several stints off and on with the Lakers, starting in 1990.

Harvey will also be leaving his position as assistant athletic trainer with the Strathroy Rockets to join Chatham.

“I want to thank the Lakers and Strathroy Rockets for letting me be part of their organizations,” he said. “All the best to them in the future.”

The Maroons are coached by former Lakers head coach Mark Davis.
