A Wallaceburg resident had the best time in the 10K portion of the St. Clair River Run this past weekend, as the final numbers have been tabulated.
Organizer Ben Hazzard told us on Saturday that they had a great turnout for the 5th annual run.
Hazzard said the final tallies showed there were over 970 registered participants in the various races and approximately $50,000 raised for the St. Clair River Trail.
In the 10K portion of the event, Wallaceburg’s Taylor McArthur along with Aaron Cooper of Camlachie, tied for the best time at 32:58.

Blenheim’s Wayne Newcombe had the best time in the 5K portion of the race, finishing in a time of 17:33.
Wallaceburg’s Alex Richie finished in fourth with a time of 19:29.
