Another piece to the Lambton-Kent Community Sports Field puzzle has fallen into place.

This time by way of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The Dresden Community Development Association entered a successful application and will be given a grant totaling $114,000 towards the project.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation website states the funding will improve the quality and safety of the sports fields in Dresden, including installation of an irrigation system, resurfacing of the soccer pitches and upgrading the baseball diamond.

Chatham-Kent council recently approved funding 25% of the $540,000 project.
