Residents interested in running in the 2026 municipal election are invited to attend an upcoming information session hosted by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
Municipal Clerk Judy Shantz will lead the candidate information session on April 16 at 6 p.m. in council chambers at the Chatham Civic Centre.
The session is intended for anyone considering running for mayor, council or school board trustee and will provide details about the responsibilities of the roles, expectations for candidates, election timelines and what prospective candidates should know before filing a nomination.
Municipal officials say the session is free to attend, but participants are asked to register in advance by emailing ckelection@chatham-kent.ca.
