The Dover Kinsmen will be holding their 18th annual singing contest in Mitchell’s Bay this weekend.
And some lucky participants will be walking away with some cold, hard, cash.
This years competition will feature eight singing classes based on age groups.
Each class will participate in a preliminary competition on Saturday, Aug. 2nd
The youth, seven under through 13 and 56 years and over, will start their preliminary at 2:30 p.m.
The adults, 14 years and up, will start their preliminary at 7 p.m.
The judges will announce the five top scoring competitors in each singing class who will return to compete in the finals Sunday night Aug 3rd starting at 7 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded based on entries, with $5,000 being the maximum.
All finalists returning Sunday will receive cash award.
Organizers are expecting over 100 participants in this years competition.
There will also be a broasted chicken dinner on Sunday and camping all weekend long.
