An annual tradition is taking place in Port Lambton this weekend.

Gala Days will turn the St. Clair Township community into a party all weekend long.

“Gala days is an amazing Port Lambton tradition,” said Wallaceburg resident Marissa Hawkins, who plans on attending this year.

“Live music, baseball, volleyball, and the water. Everyone in the community really comes together to make it happen. It’s always fun times with friends and family. So many memories. It just wouldn’t be summer without it.”

Friday night will feature the annual Gala Days dance at McDonald Park.

Face For Radio, who played on the Canada Day stage in Wallaceburg on July 1, will be performing.

The annual two-pitch and volleyball tournaments will be keeping the park packed all weekend long, along with the refreshment tent.

A highlight to the event on Saturday is the parade, which begins at 11 a.m.

Snakebite will be performing during the afternoon on Saturday.

On Saturday, a number of kids activities and games will be available and a kid’s dance is being held at the Port Lambton Community Hall from 7 to 10 p.m. for kids in Grades 3-8.

The fun continues on Sundsay, especially for the kids.

A “slimy creature” race will take place at 2 p.m. followed up by a kid’s waterball fight.

Both Pocket AcesĀ and Truckstop Shade will be performing on stage on Sunday.
