Pedestrian killed in Sarnia crash

Update: The Sarnia Police Service has identified the deceased female pedestrian involved in the August 10, 2014 collision on Maxwell Street. The Criminal Investigation Branch is in the process of notifying the family and the name will not be released at this time.

Sarnia Police wish to thank the public for their assistance during this stage of the investigation. The Traffic Branch continues to investigate the collision.

Original story: The Sarnia Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance to identify the female victim from the fatal motor vehicle/pedestrian collision.

The collision occurred at approximately 4:30pm in the area of Maxwell and Roger St. The female victim is described as approximately 50 years of age, approximately 5’0”, slender build, short dark hair, wearing a grey t-shirt, jean skirt and brown clog type sandals. The female was carrying a grocery bag containing fresh vegetables which appeared to have been freshly picked from a garden.

All of the roadways in the area of Maxwell St have been re-opened. The investigation of the Motor Vehicle Collision is continuing.
