A pair of Wallaceburg lacrosse players are national champions.

Joel Shepley and Jordan Durston were a part of the Six Nations Arrows team who captured the Minto Cup after winning the Canadian Junior ‘A’ National lacrosse championship in Langley, British Columbia last night.

Six Nations beat Coquitlam Adanacs 14-8 last night, taking the series four games to two.

“Minto Cup Champions!!!!!,” Shepley wrote on his Facebook page.

“Minto Cup Champ, fire it up Rows!!!,” Durston wrote on his Facebook page.

Shepley had an assist in the final game, and ended the series with 3 goals and 3 assists in 4 games played.

Durston did not see any action in the Minto Cup, due to an injury.

We’ll look to set up interviews with both players.
