Maroons games heading to the airwaves

Blackburn Radio Inc. is pleased to announce Chatham Maroons hockey is returning to CFCO (Country 92.9 FM / 630 AM). CFCO is broadcasting 30 regular season games (all road and six select home games) including the season opener in St. Thomas, Friday September 12 and the home opener vs. Leamington at Chatham Memorial Arena on Sunday September 14.

CFCO afternoon host and veteran sports broadcaster Mike Regnier will handle play-by-play.

Colour commentary will be conducted by several Blackburn Radio Inc. broadcasters on a rotatory basis.

All 30 games are available on-air on 92.9 FM / 630 AM or streamed online at www.Country929.com or www.BlackburnNews.com.

“We’re extremely excited the Maroons are coming home to CFCO,” says program director Dave Palmer. “Play-by-play of the games fits perfectly with our sports programming lineup. We’ll be making similar announcements in the not-so-distant future.”

Chatham Jr. Maroons Director of Business Development Andrew Doran also commented that the Hockey club are happy to again be carried by CFCO and “look forward to jointly marketing the Maroon Brand locally.”

CFCO is also the Chatham-Kent affiliate for Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown and the MRN Nascar race of the week.

In the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League loop, Wallaceburg radio station 99.1 has aired numerous Wallaceburg Lakers and Dresden Kings games over the past few years.
