The Dresden Kings got off to a great start in pre-season action on the road in the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League.

Dresden came away with a 4-2 win over the Mooretown Flags.

The Kings didn’t get off to the best start, as Mooretown jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period.

However, Dresden stormed back with four unanswered goals to the rest of the way.

Sam McPherson, David Vergeer, Will Tetzlaff and Ross Krieger all scored for Dresden.

Alex Carriere made 16 saves in two periods of play, while Cameron McAlpine stopped all eight shots he faced in the third period to earn the win.

The Kings are back in action tonight when they host Alvinston at the East Kent Arena in Ridgetown.
