Statistics suggest that 80% of all new jobs will come from existing business. Wallaceburg does not need to increase the number of minimum paying jobs. Wallaceburg needs more sustainable jobs that pay enough for our residents to live comfortably, well above poverty levels. Wallaceburg needs councilors that will lobby on behalf of this community to have the municipality work with our local businesses, industries and area contractors. The municipality needs to increase the support to our established businesses. Including increased help to align the skills required with the programs offered by our educational facilities, closing the gap between training and required skills needed by Wallaceburg employers.
As a Councillor for Wallaceburg, I will support all efforts that will strengthen our existing businesses.
