Blenheim stabbing victim improving

At around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, police responded to a stabbing at Tim Hortons on Talbot Street West in Blenheim.

A 24-year-old Blenheim man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.

He was listed in stable condition.

“The victim in this matter is recovering well at a hospital in Windsor,” police officials said Saturday. “He underwent successful surgery to repair some damage as a result of puncture wounds, and is expected to make a full recovery.”

Police investigation is ongoing by members of the Criminal Investigation Division.

The accused, a 21-year-old Blenheim man remains in custody and will appear in bail court on September 16, 2014.
