Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith is hoping to crack the Boston Bruins roster this season in the National Hockey League.

Griffith was drafted in the fifth round in 2012 by the Bruins after enjoying a successful junior career with the London Knights.

Currently, Griffith is entering his second season in professional hockey, after playing his rookie year with the Providence Bruins last season of the American Hockey League.

In 69 games last year, he scored 20 goals and recorded 30 assists for 50 points.

“He produced,” Boston Bruins assistant general manager Don Sweeney told the Boston Glose about Griffith. “It’s hard to hold a kid back. You’ve got to continue to put him back in those primary roles because he has earned it. Seth did that.”

Griffith has been working hard in the off-season, training with Rod Langstaff at Cross Fit Wallaceburg.

For the past week. Griffith has been participating in a rookie tournament with the Bruins, where the Bruins finished 1-2-0.

Griffith scored a goal on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators, and ended the tourney with one goale, two assists and two shootout goals.

He now will participate in the Bruins main camp, which begins this weekend.
