The community of Dresden came forward in a big way on Friday for the Lambton-Kent Community Sports Field project.
After North Kent Mutual Insurance said they would match community donations up to $50,000 for the project, the committee began accepting donation during a barbecue event in downtown Dresden.
A total of $31,181 was raised in just a few short hours.
The committee is accepting donations until October 10th at Lambton-Kent Composite School or by mail:

The pieces of the puzzle keep falling in place for the Dresden project.
The committee has been approved to receive a Trillium grant, totaling $114,000 and a municipal contribution as well.
