Sarnia police assisted with Wallaceburg child porn bust

On Wednesday September 24, 2014 officers from the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch and the Electronics Crimes Branch assisted in a province wide child exploitation investigation.

The investigation was conducted by the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. The strategy is an effort to have police from different services work together to share information during these investigations.

Officers from across the province executed 99 search warrants and as a result charged 60 people with almost 250 charges. Investigators were also able to identify 14 child victims during the sweep.

The Sarnia Police Service was in involved in a joint investigation with Chatham-Kent officers and executed a search warrant in Wallaceburg.

31-year-old Andrew Kinley of Wallaceburg has been charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of making it available.
