Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith has been cut by the Boston Bruins.
The 21-year-old forward was one of 11 players released from the Bruins training camp, and sent down to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.
“Little bit more time to be working on his game and he’s gonna be knocking at the door,” said Bruins head coach Claude Julien on theirTwitter feed.
Griffith played in three pre-season games for the Bruins, scoring two goals in his second game on Friday against Washington.
Griffith played close to home on Saturday night, playing in Detroit against the Red Wings.
Several folks from Wallaceburg made the trip to the Motor City to show some support.
Rod Langstaff at Crossfit Wallaceburg had the chance to chat with Seth after the game.
Port Lambton’s Bob Murphy snapped an in-game shot of Seth.
And Wallaceburg’s Kirby Celotto got up close to snap a picture of Seth as well.
