The Trustees of the Lambton Kent District School Board voted unanimously to extend the
employment agreement for Jim Costello, Director of Education, until June 30, 2020. Director
Costello assumed the position of Director of Education for the Lambton Kent District School
Board on July 1, 2010.
Jim has been with the Lambton Kent District School Board for the past 18 years in various
administrative roles including Superintendent of Human Resources, Superintendent of Special
Education, Principal and Vice-Principal of secondary schools. Jim has been an educator for 29
years.
“The Board is very pleased that that Jim will be steering the Lambton Kent District School Board
for an additional five years,” commented Chair Scott McKinlay. “Under Jim’s leadership the
Board has been a pioneer in the area of technology enriched learning for students and I am
confident that he will continue to move us forward in the area of student achievement.”
In accepting the extension, Jim Costello said, “I am excited to continue our work across the
LKDSB as we work to engage with all of our partners to improve outcomes for our students.”
