A pair of Wallaceburg brothers are teaming up with a former Dragon’s Den star.
Kevin Mitchell, along with his brother and business partner Erik, are hosting a LIVE event in Toronto on November 5, and Kevin O’Leary will be the keynote speaker.
“It is a full-day training event for real estate agents and it is all about being able to expand their business and grow their wealth,” Mitchell said. “The morning training is focused on finding, negotiating, purchasing, and cash flowing investment properties across Canada. The afternoon is based on these real estate agents being able to find and work with real estate investors and how to covert those investor leads into sales and how to sell properties to real estate investors.”
Mitchell added: “We have five guest speakers lined up, they are all industry professionals. We have an industry leading mortgage broker, a lawyer, a home inspector and a couple other professionals.”
Mitchell said landing O’Leary as the keynote speaker wraps up the full-day event perfectly.
“The great part is at the end of the day, after the morning and afternoon sessions are done, we’ve employed Kevin O’Leary from Dragon’s Den to come and be the keynote speaker,” he said. “He is going to talk and deliver an hour-long keynote speech on real estate investing in Canada as well as how to grow your business and brand in 2014.”
Mitchell said after conducting some research online, they spoke with O’Leary’s representatives and negotiated a deal.
“Once he heard about the event and what it was all about, it made sense for him to come and speak as well,” he said.
Mitchell added: “We have 600 tickets available for real estate agents to come for the full day event with the training, but we also have another 200 tickets for sale for the general public for anyone interested in coming and listening to hear Kevin O’Leary speak. Kevin has also agreed to stay along for an hour after his speech for a VIP reception. People will be able to have a drink, have some hors d’oeuvre’s and rub shoulders and talk to Kevin O’Leary.”
O’Leary is co-host of The Lang & O’Leary Exchange; a former panelist on the wildly popular program Dragon’s Den and a current judge on Shark Tank. He is also the author of the bestselling book Cold Hard Truth: On Business, Money, and Life
Both Mitchell and his brother, who were born, raised and live in Wallaceburg, are managing partners for Direct Real Estate Investors and for Strategic Real Estate Investing/Investor Agent Training.
“We’re really excited about it,” Mitchell said. “Erik and I’s mission from the moment we started our business was to help people, educate people about the power of real estate investing and help them invest themselves.
