Oct 25th at 10 a.m. was named a National Day of Vigil at all local Cenotaphs across Canada.

This was the action by Veterans across Canada.

The reason was to Honour WO Patrice Vincent and CPL Nathan Cirillo, who were murdered in senseless acts of terrorism in Canada.

The local Wallaceburg Veterans and Families Support Group held this vigil in Wallaceburg Ont.

WO Vincent was run over on Monday in St Jean Quebec and Cpl Cirillo shot from the back, while on Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Wednesday.

Their deaths were a result of Terrorist attacks on Uniformed Soldiers here in Canada.

The local group of Veterans were honouring these two heroes.

There were a number of local people, who came to Honour and to show respect for the fallen Soldiers.

Two single White Roses where laid on the Cenotaph to Honour them. Afterwards the group formed a guard on the four corners of the Cenotaph to hold Vigil.

Members of the Wallaceburg Veterans and Families Support Group were American Veteran Thomas Kosier, Canadian Veterans Joe Janssens, Doug Beresford and President Rob Simpson.

We have all served and feel it was an honour to hold the vigil to honour both WO Vincent and Cpl. Cirillo.

They died defending Canada.

Please wear a poppy this year and come out to your local Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Lest We Forget.
