Three Wallaceburg polling stations keeping busy

The three polling stations in Wallaceburg are keeping busy today as people cast their votes in the 2014 Chatham-Kent election.

The Sydenham Current bumped into Wallaceburg candidate Bill Arends, after he cast his vote at the Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church.

“It’s very busy and was very smooth,” he said.

Arends is one of four council hopefuls in Wallaceburg, along with incumbents Sheldon Parsons and Jeff Wesley and newcomer Carmen McGregor.

Polling stations at the First Baptist Church and the Knights of Columbus hall also saw a steady stream of voters throughout the day.

Voting continues until 8 p.m. this evening.
