Cyclist airlifted to Windsor after Chatham collision

The Chatham-Kent police continue to investigate an early morning collision in Chatham.

Shortly after 6:00 a.m. a male cyclist was east of Creek Road travelling eastbound on Park Avenue.

The man was found lying on the gravel shoulder of the roadway.

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by ambulance and later airlifted to a Windsor Hospital with serious injuries.

The road remains closed at this time as members of the Traffic Unit continue their investigation.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who was travelling on Park Avenue East this morning around the time of the incident.
