On Saturday, November 8, 2014, just before 11 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene of a multiple motor vehicle collision on Highway 401, near Harwich Road.
Seven vehicles were involved in collisions as a result of a 4 foot red steel ramp that appeared to have fallen off a flatbed type trailer and came to rest in the live lanes of the highway.
The seven vehicles sustained significant damages.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
The vehicle responsible for this incident has not been located.
Police are asking anyone who may have information, to please contact Chatham-Kent OPP at 519-352-1122 and speak with Acting Sergeant Chris Hogg.
