The Knights of Pythias are thrilled with the turnout at the annual Santa Claus parade.

“Wallaceburg has made it a tremendous event once again,” said Joe Janssens, K of P member and one of the organizers.

Janssens said 118 floats were in the parade this year and he estimates between 2,500 and 3,000 people participated in the parade itself.

“We had good attendance,” he said. “There was at least 10,000 people on the streets watching again this year.”

Janssens said the weather played a part in the low number of entries for the lawn mower portion of the parade.

Organizers said 38 lawn tractors still took part.
