The colder temperatures outside are not slowing down a local running group.
On Saturday, December 13, the Defiance Running Club will be holding its third annual Jingle All The Way Run.
The group is asking all participants to bring in some canned goods to be donated to the local food banks.
They are also asking participants to dress up for the Christmas-themed event.
Participants can either take part in the 5 km walk or run from 8:45 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The route is as follows: Starting at Kinsmen Community Centre on Dufferin Avenue and proceeding east to James Street, continuing east to Nelson Street, north to McKee Road, west to Wilson Street, south through Crothers Conservation Area to Forhan Street, continuing south to Elgin Street, west to Dauw Avenue, south to Dufferin Avenue and east to conclude at the Kinsmen Community Centre.
Lanes along the run will be temporarily blocked by runners.
