An upcoming event in Dresden is set to have a special added-feature.
On Friday December 5 at the Christ Anglican Church Coffee Break and Bake Sale in Dresden, Nina Reid-Maroney will be signing copies of her new book – The Promised Land: History and Historiography of Black Experience in Chatham Kent’s Settlements and Beyond.
The new book highlights historical research about 19th century Dresden and copies will be available for purchase at the event.
The book is an edited collection published by the University of Toronto Press, featuring an epilogue by Afua Cooper.
