The Chatham-Kent police continue to have reports of hypodermic syringes being abandoned in public places in Chatham, Blenheim and Wallaceburg.
The Sydenham Current ran a story back in April, when a used needle was spotted in an alleyway near Blake Street.
Wallaceburg resident Eric Mackenzie took it upon himself back in June to do a clean-up along the train tracks near Dufferin Avenue and Arnold Street in Wallaceburg as well.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind everyone that should you find used syringes, please do not touch them.
Call police immediately so the items can be disposed of safely.
If you or your child is accidentally picked by a syringe, please go directly to the nearest hospital for immediate medical attention.
